Sapphire Turf
Sapphire soft leaf buffalo is well known for being the best looking buffalo. Sapphire out competes weeds due to its tight mat and high performance levels leaving little room for weeds to grow. Because of Sapphire high performance, sapphire grows well in high traffic situations. Sapphire not only performs well in high traffic areas but also in both sunny and shady areas. Once established, Sapphire is drought tolerant due to its deep root system. It is also cold tolerant to minus 10˚ C. Sapphire has an added benefit that no other buffalo has, this is its fine texture making it soft to touch. On top of all of this, Sapphire is a mow and grow grass therefore is the perfect choice for a luxuriant, low maintenance family lawn.
Empire Zoysia
Empire Zoysia has many very desirable growth characteristics. Empire displays remarkable dark green colour, low thatch build up, drought tolerance as Empire thrives in the heat as well as the colder climates. Empire is a low maintenance lawn and also a high wear resistance lawn. Less mowing is involved than other grass. Empire is also a very efficient water user. Empire is suitable for both residential and commercial lawns.
Conquest Couch
Conquest Couch is considered to be the superior couch lawn. It is cost efficient as it uses less water and fertiliser. Conquest is a top performing variety used on sporting grounds as it establishes and repairs itself quickly. Conquest's high wearing capability allows it to withstand playful activities.

Shade Master Soft Leaf Buffalo
Shade Master Soft Leaf Buffalo is the cheapest buffalo on the market and also performs well in full sun and semi shade, tolerating up to 75% shade. It can handle heavy traffic well and is less susceptible to fungus. The major problem with shade master is that it turns purple-brown colour during the winter time due to the cold temperature and is not suitable for humid conditions.
Santa Ana Couch
Santa Ana Couch is a fine leafed lawn which thrives on sun and heat. It is tough and durable and looks best when mown short. Santa Ana is usually intolerant of heavy shade but can tolerate 10-20% of shade. If grown in fun sun Santa Ana is extremely hard wearing. This variety of couch has a lighter green leaf giving it a superior appearance. Santa Ana has above ground runners which must be maintained by boarding.
Winter Green Couch
Winter Green Couch is one of the lower maintenance couch lawns and is distinguished by its deep green colour. It has a fine texture with a very dense growth pattern. Winter Green's deep roots make it a tough hard wearing soft surface, however due to its deep roots it is difficult to keep out of paving and gardens. Winter Green has excellent cold and frost tolerance and thrives in sunny areas but can also take 10-40 % shade making it ideal for a wide range of conditions.
Green Leas Park Couch
Green Leas Park Couch is one of the easiest to maintain out of the couch varieties. It is finely textured making it a very soft and comfortable lawn. It requires full sun and is not suitable for shady areas as it only tolerates 10-20% shade. It is also not suitable for high traffic areas. Green Leas Park couch is a deeper green than the other couches and will get burnt during the winter time in frosty areas but hold reasonable winter colour in warm areas.
Kikuyu
Kikuyu is the most affordable of at the lawn varieties. Kikuyu grows well in full sun but does not grow well in shaded areas making it susceptible to weeds. When well watered, fed and mown regularly kikuyu is great for large areas but it can become invasive and is not suitable for areas consisting lots of garden beds.
